 note = {The purpose of this study is to examine if the first language and culture of intercultural children Japanese ancestry living in Japan is Japanese due to the strong influence of the location of the home and if the points of view of the mothers on language, culture and the education of their children have an influence on their children's acquisition of language and culture. The participants were ten foreign mothers married to Japanese men and living in a metropolitan area of Japan. A semi-constructed interview was conducted in 2007. The analysis was mainly of a qualitative nature. The results suggest that both the language and culture of the place where the home is located and the points of view of foreign mothers who have relocated to Japan on language, culture, and the education of their children play important roles in the language and culture acquisition (inheritance) of intercultural children with Japanese ancestry living in Japan.},
